In this 4 week course, learn how to construct a quilt from start to finish. Master the basics of piecing, matching seams and corners, learn the basics of sandwiching and quilting (the top-stitching) using a Free Motion Quilting Foot, and finish off with binding! Course runs 2 evening per week, 2.5 hours per class, beginning Feb 25, 2025. Wednesday/Friday - 5:00p - 7:30p Skills needed: Basic sewing knowledge/Beginner friendly Cost: $250 per person, plus quilt materials All tools and machines are provided for class time! Queen size Quilt kit available ($125), not required. If providing your own materials please bring the following to class: (We may be able to schedule a "group shopping trip" the week before class to obtain all materials) Suggested fabrics: Cotton woven or batiks Quilt Top: 13 colors/designs - 1/3yd each (blocks) 1 color - 2.5yd (border) 1 color - 1/2yd (binding) Batting: 100% cotton batting - Queen Size Quilt Back: 2yd - 108" wide cotton fabric. ***If, for any reason, a student needs to miss a scheduled day, make-up sessions are available during "Mixed Skills - Oceanside" class time or other times as deemed with instructor***
